How to extend the service life of storage shelves

How to prolong the service life of the shelves? In today's development of the modern logistics industry, storage shelves are the basic auxiliary equipment of the logistics industry, and its utilization rate is getting higher and higher.Storage shelves are generally made of metal, which can withstand the pressure of goods. The stability of storage shelves, technological problems and the service life of storage shelves have become the issues that consumers need to pay attention to when buying storage shelves.
There are many factors that affect the shelf life, such as the temperature, humidity, light, ventilation conditions of the warehouse, etc. If the humidity of the warehouse is too high, it will cause the shelf to rust, reduce the load-bearing capacity of the shelf, and reduce the service life. So what should we do to extend the shelf life?
1. Regularly apply protective paint to reduce rust, do daily inspections, and fix in time whether there are loose screws, do timely ventilation, and keep the warehouse from being excessively damp.
2. Avoid excessive sunlight, ventilate the shelves reasonably, prevent wet goods from being placed on the shelves, and try to drain and dehumidify.
3. A set of anti-collision columns is equipped according to different shelves, aisle widths and conveying tools. Install crash barriers at access locations.
4. The weight of the goods placed on the shelf must be within the load-bearing capacity of the shelf. Warehouse cargo handlers mark the load-bearing limit on the shelves. It is necessary to follow the principle of light weight at the bottom of the shelf, that is, put heavy objects on the bottom and light objects on the top.
5. Heavy-duty and high-rise warehouses must be equipped with powered push carts, and the use and operation of push carts must only be operated by licensed personnel. Most of the deformation of the warehouse rack column is caused by the use of push carts by non-specified personnel.
6. Prescribe the shelf usage system. Different warehouses, different goods, and the shelves of each warehouse have different usage methods. Warehouse managers must formulate a shelf use system, and let every shelf user learn and abide by it, which is the way to achieve their goals.
